Not long ago, if a senior needed help with something as simple as dressing, bathing or taking medication, the only options besides family were nursing homes or costly in-home nursing care. When our family was seeking care for an elderly relative, we were frustrated by not being able to find an arrangement close to home, with the services she needed and that our family could afford. Brooks House was born from that frustration. At Brooks House, our beloved relative retained her individuality and independence while receiving the gentle care she needed for several years—the same as residents do now.

Brooks House offers three levels of personal care, depending on individual need. Residents at all levels receive:

  • 24-hour on-site staff
  • Choice of furnished or unfurnished bedroom
  • Daily housekeeping with linens
  • and towels provided
  • Large living, dining and activity areas
  • Resident gardening opportunities to maintain the beautiful landscaping
  • Three home-cooked meals daily and 24-hour availability to snack
  • High technology security system
  • Emergency pendant call system
  • Regular health and wellness checks by a registered nurse
  • Medication supervision
  • Personal laundry service
  • Staff beautician
  • Transportation arranged for local medical appointments

We are proud to continue serving seniors with gentle care and respect at Brooks House, as we have since 2000 in our 16-bed farmhouse-like residence in Geauga County. Because demand for our special kind of assisted living residence has grown, we’re expanding Brooks House with a new 21-bed residence right next door. The new building will open in fall 2007. You’ll find Brooks House differs from other assisted living residences—starting with its peaceful rural location and ending with our staff’s gentle approach to helping your loved one live well.
